The ancient pyramids of Egypt were originally built as tombs for Pharoahs and their Queens. Some pyramids date back as far as 2630 BC with the most famous, and largest being in Giza built for the Egyptian Pharoah, Khufu. The design is believed to have been created by the Imhotep, a renowned Egyptian architect of those times.
Rosslyn Chapel was built in 1446 and has been in ownership on the St. Clair Family since its creation. It was originally used for use by the family and to spread spiritually knowledge. Throughout its history it has been wrecked by reformation and rebuilt by the Grandmasters of the Masons of Scotland and has been used as a burial place for many knights throughout the years. Rosslyn has a beautiful interior and recently has been in the public eye thanks to the Da Vinci Code and the claims that it once held the Holy Grail.
