Australian Surfing is world renowned for producing some of the best waves around and keen surfers flock in their thousands to the beaches of Australia every year. The warm climate gives the added bonus of good weather but also has some potentially deadly animal life. Shark attacks are more prevalent here than anywhere else in the world and with poisonous snakes and spiders there is a risk associated with choosing to surf here.
Thurso Surfing
Thurso Surfing is greatly underappreciated and does not get the worldwide attention it deserves. It provides arguably the best surf in the world and has even been recognised among the surfing community, hence being given the honour of being the host of the annual World Surfing championship. The weather is the only drawback, however as all experienced surfers know, extreme weather makes for better waves and low temperatures are quickly forgotten after only minutes of surfing.
